Editing Dispensed Experiments

If you have already dispensed or imaged an experiment plate, Rock Maker "locks" the experiment to prevent users from making changes. If, however, you want to edit a previously dispensed or locked experiment for any reason, it’s possible to unlock it and make changes to the experiments ingredients.

Prerequisites

• You have imaged or dispensed a plate.
• The "Allow to edit read only experiment" System Property is set to TRUE.

To unlock a dispensed experiment:

1. Open your experiment (the padlock button represents a locked experiment).

2. Drag a new ingredient to the experiment. A warning message appears. Click Yes.

3. Another message of Target Type appears and asks you to confirm that you want to create new layer. Click OK.

4. Continue making changes until your experiment design matches the dispensed design. When you're done, use the keyboard shortcut CTRL+S to save your changes.
